GTAA Finances

Pretty sure the game times are dictated by television contracts, not the convenience of the people attending....and that's part of the issue.

You are probably correct, and I even agree with television pushing around our start time for games on ESPN/ABC; but we shouldn't let ACCNetwork decide when to start a game against the Citadel. If GTAA has no say in when to start these low profile games, then that's a messed up contract.

One of the greatest decisions I made was to get the Stinger Seats added to my seats this past season...keeps people in the seats beside you from trying to edge over onto your seat.

I had them for a couple of years but soon realized that, being on the aisle, they got in the way of me getting out of the way of people leaving our row for the concession stand. However, last season the couple next to me got them, so I got them for the upcoming season.

I started doing this a few years ago for the same reason

Stinger seats push me forward into the person sitting in front of me. I do sit in my neighbor’s stinger seat until they arrive though. I attend most games with my 7 y/o so butt space is not an issue.

If we are putting in the money for LED lighting, I imagine that we will go ahead and get the light show capability first done by Alabama and copied by uga.
There ought to be a rule that those light shows can only be after a TD.

Plenty of leg room in the lower portion of the UN.

100% agree. I’d actually take it a step further and say only pregame, quarter change breaks and tv timeouts, and post game. I don’t think teams should be permitted to alter lighting after a touchdown because eventually it’ll go from celebratory shows to mess with the other team’s kicker light shows.

I think it was a UGAg game I saw where they were doing it during a break while the other team was on offense. May as well allow teams to shine green lasers at them

And someone hit Nesbitt with a green laser light in 2009 at home against UGAg. I swear it happened. Am I the only one who remembers that?

I was at every home game and while the average might have been reported as over 44,000 per game, there weren’t that many butts in the seats.
I was at four and I'd bet a lot of money we didn't have 30k in the seats.

Bleacher seating verses chairs is fine, but they need to be renumbered to give more room. Obviously that has to be done in a reseating year. I was at three home games and I bought an extra seat each time. It was amazing that the extra seat helped us be comfortable but actually there was no extra room as folks on both sides encroached a bit because they needed the extra room.

I would love to see a Spring mailing that offered alums and AT Fund contributors that don’t do season tickets to order their single game seats. I also think not knowing kickoff times limits those who live some distance away from attending. That is a problem for all schools. Conferences and TV could absolutely set kickoff times in advance. If they had about three wild card moves to switch kickoffs to move a big game to a premium time they could get it right for TV and out of town folks would no almost every kickoff time in advance.
