These kids and their families are being wined (non-alcoholic), dined and swooned over by millionaire coaches. No telling what kind of swag they get on these trips, or 'activities' they get to go do. Keep in mind that some of these kids have grown up either in poverty or in the lower-middle class and have probably never experienced anything remotely close to this in their lives.

Why would you want to go on multiple OVs if you already have your mind made up? These are 18 year old kids. I don't want crazy ass Ed Orgeron in that kids ear on a visit.

It's like if I already have my car picked out but I continuously go to other dealerships. Why would anyone put themselves through that?
All expense paid trip to a place you’ve never been where you’re treated like royalty. Why on earth would you want to do that?

Speaking of which, CGC needs to get Gibbs in the WaHo Copter. Take off from Grant Field. Go as high up as it can go.

I feel like it's not like your analogy though...these are quite literally kids who are being aggressively sought after by famous coaches and in some cases legends. That will likely never happen again in their lives. Why not drag it out? Why not have Saban and Dabo and whoever else make you feel better about yourself for a few weeks longer?

In the case of the car, it's a material possession that you are actually spending your money on. From these kids' perspectives, is Saban going to pay more, or is Kirby?
And with a lot of these recruiting visits, you may end up with a car as well!

If Gibbs, Wilder, Davis and Morton all tried to sign...then I assume we have room?

I get the impression Jayson Jones is likely off the table...although there is some noise around potentially Baylor or Oregon for him.

I'm really not sure whether there are other potentials out there for this class.
Yes we have room. We wouldnt be handing out offers if not. Gibbs and Morton have always had commitable offers. Davis got his last week. Wilder had one for a month or two.

Next time the contact period ends, I'm going to the Waffle House nearest our biggest recruit to see if our entire coaching staff shows up to tank up before midnight. Who's with me?

I’m there. Go ahead and order me the All Star Special.

Again, Mullens took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the programs of the SEC and their glory. And he said to him, "All these we will defeat, if you will sign with us on Feb 5." Then Jahmyr said to him, "Be gone, Dan! For it is written,

You shall play for the 404
and it only shall you serve."

This. Official visits for college football recruits are probably the closest thing in our country to being treated like royalty. If I had the opportunity as an 18-year-old, I would've taken as many OVs as I could.

One day I asked some of the coaches how much was spent the night we went to Capital Grille. We had a lot of folks from my class on that trip. 50k just on Cap Grille is what I was told. Went to Fogo the night after. Mind you, they rented out a GIANT room. Anywho, we can provide the best OV experience as far as what a city has to offer.
