The entire stadium needs a face lift. I think those gold seats need to be removed! They always seem to be empty after halftime.
supposedly getting new lights. Fingers crossed it's the LEDS like Bama and others have gotten that can be controlled, dimmed etc

We have no excuse for not selling 40k season tickets per season
I thought we did have an excuse.

I heard our contract with cu and ugag guarantees them at least 10 K (same as what we get there) and we have to reserve a certain number for students.

Plus when you factor in that an engineering school has.miscounted the number of seats we actually have - we might not have that many to sell. Which is to say there really is no excuse not to sell 35k.

About 4 years ago i posted how I wished it would be necessary to only get 5k tickets for when we played at athens.

Nerd implosion. Nobody stopped to think that would have meant we would have had a market to sell more season tickets to our fans at Grant Field and ugag would not have gotten another 5k tickets when playing here.

So that’s the secret to not having 75% of BDS be red - take less ticks in Athens!

If it is because we are winning and selling more season tix to our fans - yeah.

As is often typical with a lot of our fan base irrational thinking - some think it would be better to have 5k more tickets in Athens every other year than to have 5k more season tickets sold to new GT fans every year (and for those that don’t realize it - the higher revenue that comes with such sales).

Or if we really want to save stadium maintenance money, and not worry about putting things like tarps up - the ideal solution would be to sell BDS @ GF and the land it is on to the school and put that money back in the coffers. Then keep even more space for TStan’s new digs. Then just rent gsu stadium for our home games where everyone agrees we would sell the stadium out, avoid maintenance cost, still be in the city, better parking, not have to worry about tarps. That is the ticket.

10,000 seats at home and 10,000 in Athens are not equal. At home the dwags get 18% of our seats, in Athens we get 10% of their seats. Actually I thought it was 8,000 each but either way we get screwed.

At this point I don't think it matters how many seats we give them at BDS, those are seats we were not going to sell as season tickets anyways. Maybe if CGC can get the train rolling this would change but I don't think we even sold out season tickets after our 2014 Orange Bowl season.
