If it is because we are winning and selling more season tix to our fans - yeah.

As is often typical with a lot of our fan base irrational thinking - some think it would be better to have 5k more tickets in Athens every other year than to have 5k more season tickets sold to new GT fans every year (and for those that don’t realize it - the higher revenue that comes with such sales).

Or if we really want to save stadium maintenance money, and not worry about putting things like tarps up - the ideal solution would be to sell BDS @ GF and the land it is on to the school and put that money back in the coffers. Then keep even more space for TStan’s new digs. Then just rent gsu stadium for our home games where everyone agrees we would sell the stadium out, avoid maintenance cost, still be in the city, better parking, not have to worry about tarps. That is the ticket.
I know you have to
be kidding. If not may be the single dumbest idea ever. I went to the Marietta state championship at GSU stadium. Terrible. Miserable. I would turn in my season tickets.

Clemson has won 2 nattys in the last decade and they still cannot sell out their stadium. Fact is people don't go to sporting events like they used to. TV is too good and everyone has ADD so we are doing other activities. I think premium seating is the way to go and you'll see more of that and less of adding seats in the near future.

The last time I went to Clemson game in death valley, I didn't see the empty seats like I see at bobby Dodd. Really not a good comparison.

If it's not a good comparison it's because you have 2 programs in totally different places. Clemson is landing top rated recruiting classes and playing for/winning championships. GT is trying to not lose to IAA teams. Yet my statement remains factual, Clemson is struggling to sell tickets.

That is a worse idea than hiring a pj protege or even hiring option coach to begin with.

Well, everyone is so excited to go play at gsu. (Wait til they find out that for that one semester gsu will include a ticket to our game as part of their students tuition)
