Collins on Packer and Durham Friday

Where have you been.. he got hired over a year ago

Just sharing my enthusiasm after finally seeing him in more than sound bites. Thought he did a great job of promoting GT. Sorry you didn't take it the way I intended.

May you live in interesting times.

While GT is at the FOX seeing the biggest Broadway hit in a generation after dining at Maggianos, UGA will visit the Athens' Classic (sic) Center for the Grand Ole Opry travelling show and go to Brusters for ice cream.
Leave Brusters out of this. They have some good ice cream.

Only thing I can say is man, I hope he’s a good game day coach.

May you continue being a bitter spiteful old boomer

Same marketing points

Talked about the transformation of Mason and commended Choice. Spoke about their first encounter when JPM parked in parking spot. That’s when got his first taste of what the culture would be.

Emphasized getting bigger and better in the trenches most noted but the avg size of the incoming Olineman

Talked about the other side of the 404 Culture. The team bonding activity this spring will be the entire will see The Hamilton at the Fox

Got 5 guys to close on for the 2020 class

Spring gm will be Friday night April 10th. His Bday

The five are?

Gibbs
Wilder
Jones?
Morton?
????

3/4 way through the show and man, I am even more impressed with Geoff Collins. This is our dude. He even just subtly blasted uga for trying to copy the 404 thing, Packer and Durham quickly poured on. I love this.

I love the way he has approached the program. He understands the extreme importance of recruiting, marketing, PR, social media, and all of these other things that have been ignored for years. What he is doing is creating a level of buzz around Georgia Tech that I haven't seen since O'Leary was beating UGA 3iar.

The next thing he (and his staff) have to demonstrate is improvement on game days. I will be very patient, because I understand the need for substantial roster reconstructions. That said, in the end he must build a winner. I think increasing the overall talent level of the program is step one in that process. Which he clearly is doing.

He mentioned improving as the year went along which I agree with. The offense we put out there during the South Florida win was the worst thing I’ve ever seen. End of the year wasn’t good but it was markedly better.

Also, as they noted on the segment, his first recruiting class is GTs second highest ranked, ever.

Another point coach made that will inflame the old folks here is that he says he likes the traditional uniform look but they will be continuing to mix it up and Morpheus has the lead on that.

I wish you guys could have known his father, Billy. He was my middle and high school football coach(offensive line) and PE Teacher. Quite the character. Hate that he passed away a few years ago. Anyway, the apple doesn't fall far.
