Looks like it will be Jamal Haynes. ATH/Slot WR out of Grayson. The insiders all put in their futurecasts today.

Awesome to get Grayson kids.

Oddly enough, I have reason to follow Minnesota. I saw they have several Georgia kids and thought to myself that keeping kids like that down here is an opportunity just laying out there. I notice one of this kid's interests is Minnesota.

As a matter of fact, Rashod Bateman, the Big 10 WR of the year, U of Minn, is from Tifton, GA.

Minnesota is a lot like GT, weather being the main difference. School in a city, new coach with a lot of hype, etc.

Here is the 2021 Rivals Top 100 list:

Quick question: why does every player from the State of Georgia on this Top 100 List have an offer from UGA...but only about HALF have an offer from Georgia Tech?

Are we simply not listed on there (hard to believe as the App states and Cincinnati’s of the world are all listed)? The logical guess would simply be that some of these player’s grades aren’t good enough. If anyone has another answer to this question, I’d like to hear it.

If you have interacted with enough 5 stars, you would know that you would not want about a third of them anywhere near your program, particularly the effort-based program we are building.

And a certain number have been propagandized against us enough over their lifetime to never consider us. Anyone who has grown up in Georgia outside of a few bubbles knows how relentless the pro-UGa anti-GT propaganda is. We are fighting back now, which is vital and should have been obvious to anyone not named Cremins or Collins but has been opaque. So if they tell you they will not consider you, it cheapens the offers to the people you do want, if you pass them out to all the 5 stars just cuz.

I've been studying performance of variously rated players lately. My initial conclusions are a) it is not the number of stars a program collects that translates into on-field success; it is the ability to get the top-star players you want, b) the great recruiters are also great evaluators and do not follow the crowd, c) character counts and d) by their senior year initial star ratings don't mean a dam.

For those who don't know^^^^^ Carter is the #1 LB in the nation, #3 player in the state, #31 overall nationally.
Getting these kinds of recruits on campus, early in the process, tweeting things like this is just a total paradigm shift for us. When we start increasing the win total year after year on the field, Katy bar the door.
