are coming to Chattanooga next week! I live only 15 minutes from where the Div 1AA Championship is played at, so I will certainly be there in person to cheer on this former Tech quarterback.

Good for you. I'm sure he's better than Godsey, Suggs, Ball, Carter and Camp combined..

Take nothing away from Andy Hall.

He's done nothing except an exemplary job for "them" since he's left us.

The man is an all-star.

That's the breaks.

No... your post was a cheap try as a potshot at Gailey and the team. I would read your post as genuinely serious, that is, if your previous posting reputation was different. I know what you meant by the post, hopefully others do as well.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">hey statelinejacket .. where is the link to the slanderous quote man?

fabricating slanderous quotes, quotes which paint the coach in an extremely negative light, quotes that only one person reads amongst all Tech fans worldwide, quotes for which no link can be produced ..

that is what I expect from folk like statelinejacket who bash Gailey with no logic whatsoever.

For once I have to defend stateline. He didn't say anything about Gailey or anything else. He simply said he will cheer on a former Tech athlets. What's wrong with that?

FWIW I was a big Andy Hall fan while he was here. I hoped he would get a shot before he transferred. Of course, I also though Brandon Shaw was the answer once upon a time so what do I know?

Good luck Andy in the biggest game you'll probably ever play.

Just like you ylojk8! You see a quip from White and Gold that is strictly low class and you ignore it because it runs against your pro-Gailey agenda and try to take your usual crack at me.

Yes I have it but why waste it on you so that you can try to cut down the writer and the AJC and take it all out on them. That is all you would do! You would admit nothing! I rather you take your aimless pitiful shots at me.
No you go look for yourself. I am satisfied with knowing the truth.

White and Gold: It was not a cheapshot at Gailey but if that is the way you want to see it then that is fine with me.

I read an article about him in the state newspaper earlier this week. I was impressed by the article and wish this young man nothing but the best. He never said anything in the article negative about tech so why must we be so negative about him. He is up for the Walter Peyton award. GO Andy ! I am sorry it did not work out for him at GT but I certainly wish him the best of luck!!

what? i mean .. whaaaaaaaaaaaaat? (like the Stus do it)

that's the best i have heard from you yet statelinejacket.

LOL

oh ma god.

you have the link but you won't post it because i will try and cut down the AJC reporter. instead you will be a "man" and take whatever i dish?

folks this takes the cake.

let me remind all of you what this statelinejacket came up with out of the blue, one fine day.

Pat Carter's name came up when the writer was quoting Chan Gailey and Gailey said before fall practice started he expected to have a freshman quarterback this year.
<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">http://www.stingtalk.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=007461

Chan Gailey has never been quoted as saying that he expected a true freshman to start this year before fall practice i.e before the true freshmen even arrived on campus (discounting Pena .. we hardly knew ye .. and Bilbo was ahead of Pena).

Can you seriously expect a head coach to decide to start a true freshman without ever seeing him practice in a Tech uniform with the Tech squad? especially when he has a RS senior QB and a RS soph QB in his squad with playing time and experience?

such a quote has never been printed by the AJC. such a quote has never been ascribed to Chan Gailey.

this is the truth.

or maybe it's not. maybe statelinejacket read an article in the AJC that no one else in the whole wide world read.

I don't know if anyone who participates on this board saw this story but I did.
<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">(from the same link as above)

maybe statelinejacket is really telling the truth. maybe Gailey did say exactly what statelinejacket is telling us he said. maybe nobody else who participates on this board saw the story.

more astoundingly, maybe statelinejacket really does have a link to the story published by the AJC, which he is protecting so that people like me don't cut down the AJC reporter who published this story.

folks, the truth is out there.

truthout.jpg

and ofcourse, statelinejacket is satisfied with knowing the truth. i am taking aimless pitiful shots at him and he is not taking aimless pitiful shots at Gailey. he is above that.

on a more serious note statelinejacket ..

you ought to be banned from a public forum representing Georgia Tech (even though it's in an unofficial capacity) for posting such a slanderous quote and not providing a link when asked to verify its veracity after being repeatedly told that you are mistaken.

ylojk8: I wonder what took you so long to respond! Yes I know the article. No there is no use in providing it to you. Your agenda against anyone here or the media that says anything remotely anti-Gailey is well documented.

So is your namecalling and your insults to anyone that has a different view than you. Unfortunately most of them are not willing to spar with you. I guess you could say they have been effectively run off by you and your like.

Your like is the kind that constantly come on here caring on the tired arguments about "credentials" "most qualified" "integrity".

How about 51-7, 39-3, 41-14, and all the others.

Don't say "I'm not happy but....."
That is your cop out for ignoring the truth by responding with "but just give Chan time to ......."

Chan Gailey was CFN's ACC coach of the year. How many of these writers cover the ACC? How about ZERO! How many of them listened to Lee Corso covering the Maryland game.....probably all the voters for CFN!

The media that covers the ACC voted Gailey FIFTH in the balloting for ACC coach of the year! People with the day to day, of every game coverage thought very little of what Corso said and instead voted as they saw it.

Like everyone that wonders why Chan Gailey could make so many mistakes on and off the field yet still have such a cushy outlook by "supporters" such as yourself I have wearied of dealing with you. You are not worth the time of a Georgia Tech fan that is concerned about the direction of the program.

Blah Blah Blah.....Blah Blah...Blah...like i have said before if you dont like gailey, do something about it....when you figure out you cant...cry about it. It doesnt matter if I, Ylo, ncjacket, you, or anybody on this message bord like or dislike CG. We are all GT fans, he is our coach, so therefore we should support him. I live for college football, and i support GT as much as i can but no matter if we go 2-10 or 10-2 i personally have no control over the team and i accept that. I do what (little) i can to support the team. Stateline you should do the same. If you truely feel CG is that bad, go talk to somebody that can fire him. Dont post over and over again on a football message board that is here for football discusion. I am in no way trying to tell you to stop posting your opinion on stingtalk, because i believe different opinions are what make message boards great ( and fun). However i would be willing to bet that you know everytime that you post that you are looking for an arguement and you probably know the stingtalkers that are gonna reply to you. SO therefore either GET OVER IT or BUZZOFF.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">Take a good look at who started this thread and what it was about. Then cast this post in ylojk8's direction. Geesh!

Talk about thread hijacking. How did we ever end up here from the first post?

BTW, stateline, it is pretty weak to claim you have a link but don't want to post it. I'd have to call BS on that one.

Yeah, how did this thread go so offbase. Initial comment was about Andy Hall who was at Tech. I wish him well. Enough of this other stuff.

I have been to several 1-AA games in my lifetime. Had some buddies that played 1-AA. There is a BIG difference between 1-AA and 1-A. Sure Hall did well, but you should not translate that into him performing the same feats at Tech if he would've stayed.

There is a lot more speed in 1-A. There is a tremendous difference in size. His rushing stats wouldn't have been near the same. Coverages and DB's are better. Most 1-AA guys either didn't have the skills to make it to 1-A or at some point didn't make it academically. I'm glad he did well, but don't go overboard making him look like he's the one who got away.
