New Commit!

oh f*cking score.

Welcome to tech, you fine young gentleman you. I know i've had alot of caffeine, but this is one of the highlights of my recruiting experience this season. This is exactly the kind of guy i want on my team and he fits extremely well to his position, too. A perfect addition. He may not be a 5* by scout or whatever, but his intangibles will carry him far beyond our expectations. Additionally, this guy will want his degree. Happy to have a future 4-5 year player on defense. Oh and his factory connections.

Guys, screw all those decommits. This class is a really good class for us.

+1000!

This kid is a helluva football player! He comes from one of the best coached programs I have seen. I saw his team at Central Florida'ss team camp this year when my son's team was there. Those boys had discipline you rarely see in high schoolers. He is going to do good things while GT unless I am completely off my rocker!

Dude, I'd take the coach's son at Jesuit even if he sucked. That this guy is actually good is icing on the cake.

Definitely.

Are we recruiting anyone from this HS for next year?

After looking through Wake Forest's board, they seemed super excited that they got Airyn Willis (some said "In your face GT!"), and then when they realized that they lost Harrell to us, they knew that we got the better end of the deal. Lulz

This morning's Raleigh paper, always woefully behind on recruiting news, listed Harrell as one of 10 impact players coming to play at NC schools next fall, Wake's only recruit to make their list. Guess they had not heard he would make an impact in NC only when the Jackets visit.

Hard to bring down when he was running the ball too. I saw some extremely nasty hits he laid on some opponents in those videos. Good stuff.

As I posted in the other thread, rumors amongst friends of mine in Tampa is that they have several good young players (9-11th graders) -- like some of the best -- usually the best play at Plant, but Jesuit has been making a run at keeping some of them. Not sure if we are recruiting any of them, but having the head coach on our good side cannot hurt.

Better be nice to the son, then. Heh.

This is what I heard as well. Apparently the head coach at Jesuit is doing a good job with the football program, so the players that would usually transfer to Plant are actually staying put. Getting the coach's son is definitely a huge plus for our future recruiting. What coach wouldn't want to put a good word in for his son's football team if it means sending good players there and improving the program overall?
