Synjyn Days

obviously none of you have actually repped in a 7 on 7 and don't realize how much BS it is. You could lose to anyone. Its a coverage read game and not a true competition. Most of it ends up being 1 on 1, you have no QB pressure, there is no requirement to get the ball out quick or throw it away, so once coverage breaks it becomes 1 on 1. Without a coach monitoring it, which they can't right now, its totally pointless to worry about who wins or loses. What you want to get from it is QB/WR timing, proper breaks/coverage reads and that is about all its worth.

on the D its all about backend communication and alignment.

Oh, I get it, but still not encouraged that with no pressure on the QB, and WRs one on one with DBs we scored less than GS. But, they've probably done a dozen or more of these and one loss isn't the end of the world and is to be expected. I was mostly responding to the post that it is no surprise because we are a rushing offense.

"I wanna be remembered here first as a Christian man, and then as a great athlete at Georgia Tech."

Does he wanna be our Tim Tebow?

And yes, he did say we lost to GA State once

No, he's aiming to be our NEXT Billy Teas!

Always pleased to hear one of our guys come across with such a great attitude. Best of luck to him and proud that he is a Yellow Jacket.

It sounded to me like we had played the Atlanta schools more than once and only lost to Georgia State once. I would not expect us to be very good in 7 on 7.

Beat me to it. I knew when he said that in the interview that people would overreact about it.

Watching this gets me pumped for Synjin to get some reps this year. Great athlete with a good head on his shoulders.
This video did get me thinking about Jabari though. Who were other good Tech fb family tandems? I've been watching closely since the mid-90's so I can only think of a few:
Nick Rogers and Philip "The Black Hammer" Rogers-brothers
Joe Hamilton and Harvey Middleton- cousins
Randy and Kelly Rhino- father/son
Anyone else from you older guys?

Orwin Smith -- went on to say that Vad can pass but doesn't know yet how well he'll run the option. Also cautioned against pumping-up the true freshman too much (based on his own experience).

Agree 100% with Orwin.

I'm not an old timer but I know three generations of Rhinos have played, Randy's father, Chappell, and Randy's brother Danny also played at Tech iirc.
