"Bunchie is a kid that comes around once every 10 years," Evans said.
In this case, that's quite literally true. Bunchie is only 10 years old.
Despite his age, Bunchie already has scholarship offers from Illinois and one mystery Pac-12 team, according to Evans
Kind of funny to me that a coach would even want to offer a 10 or 12 year old today. Odds are that coach won’t even be at the same school when the kids 18. Seems very Butch Jonesy
OMG who the hell cares
The heck they won't. There was a 13 year old lefty playing for East Cobb Astros 2 seasons ago who had 6 or 7 D1 offers already, two of which he got at 12.Coaches won't offer a 10 or 12 year old. You don't know how those kids will develop as they age. Some kids develop early then plateau, some continue to develop. On top of all of that, you don't know if they kid will have the grades or SATs to get in.
When I hear things like this, I assume it's just a parent trying to make a big deal out of something that isn't.
Coach -> Parent: "Kid looks great. If he keeps dominating like this in high school, give me a call"
Parent -> Media: "My 12 year old just received an offer!"
Isn't it really bad for your growth to do any kind of serious lifting before puberty?
MexicoThe more important question is what place of employment provides a daily "four hour lunch break"?
Huh, ok. Good to know. That was a rumor I remember in the early 90's. I'm pretty sure it's been thoroughly debunked at this point.
TLDR: No.
