Anyone know how this decision came about seeing as how we had one more win than UVA did this season, and we went 5-3 in ACC to their 3-5. We play UGA and Auburn, they play Temple Western Michigan, and someone else that doesn't matter. All of whom UCONN would beat.
 
Probation.

If its something other than that, nobody stood up and lobbied for us.

Is there a conference rule that we cannot turn this humiliation down?

In my opinion, if we play UVA again we beat them by 2 TD's. If we had played them with their full roster andthey weren't fired up, we would've beat them. By thew ay that 3rd non-conferendce opponent was Syracuse, who finished 1-10. And guess what. UVA had to kick a field goal as time expired to get past that Big East power.

One thing is right though. Utah really is getting a better opponent in the Emerald Bowl than they got in the Fiesta Bowl last season in Pittsburgh.
 
No they guaranteed 30,000 in ticket sales. That's how. It's clear from the comments by the directors of both the Music City and Charlotte that ticket sales was the sole deciding factor. They just don't think we'd buy as many.
 
We beat Clemson. They were picked ahead of us by 4 slots. Why is it so hard for the Tech family to agree our team deserved better?

I wonder if some want to accept our being the 8th team picked when two teams picked ahead of us had worse overall and conference records and one team with the same overall record that we beat and had a worse conference record was chosen before us because they want to keep griping that Chan only gets us to lower tier bowls out west that few can attend.

Our players, coaches, and fans deserved better. I wish the whole Tech family could agree. But, some are so anti-Chan they will argue that being 5th best on the field and getting the 8th best bid is somehow what we deserve. I don't get that at all.
 
The point is, it does not matter, unless you finish 1st or 2nd, in the acc. Unless you are willing to stroke carolina mafia sausage, you will get screwed.

Finishing 3rd in the 12 team acc means nothing.
