The LIFE college founder dude always used to freak me out. He looks like a funeral director.
 
Also, I don't think there was ever a more "money" player than Charlie Rogers. That dude could flat out makea big play when we were totally desperate. Also, he was by far the best punt returner in GT history. Yeah, and his last name ain't Rhino.

Side Williams was always my favorite, you could always see him half a mile away at BB games. This game has to probably be the worst condition as a human being I've ever been in. My own brothers put me on probation (locked me up in my truck) that day in Athens. I was bound to die because I've never threatin as many dog fans in my life. It was many years of teen angst and frustration coming out at one time, I was only a sophomore at Tech (19 yo). A glorious day, indeed. I awoke the next morning with no pants on and an empty keg of beer strapped to the back of truck, and my "Deddy" shoutin "We got them sum bitches!" GOOD TIMES

My dad had died the week before that game. I swore that he directed that kick through as one last THWG!

On the Charlie Rogers catch, we ran a pick to get him open. Check at 3:01 where the play starts. Charlie in motion, Dez in the slot, Sheridan outside. Dez and Sheridan both ran straight up field causing a log jam. With man coverage, the guy following Rogers got caught up and he was wide open.

It was a great play call and great execution.

Oh. And with 7 posts in almost 6 years, I think Varsity Lurker is a huge understatement!
