It turns out you don't have to watch our games past the 1st quarter to know the outcome:

Auburn 10-0, W
UNC 7-0, W
UConn 14-13, W
Va Tech 0-14, L
NC State 0-7, L
Duke 7-0, W
Clemson 0-0, W (down to the wire)
Wake Forest 7-0, W
UVa 0-14, L

My conclusions:

(1) In all 3 losses, we came out looking totally unprepared to play.

(2) Yesterday's game went exactly like I thought it would, if you throw out the first quarter where we got pushed around the field.

(3) If we lose the 1st quarter to Miami or UGAg, consider finding some other activity than watching the game for the remaining 3 quarters.

No Offense + No Quarterback = Can't Play From Behind

But we did play from behind. Tying it at 17 was the ballsiest thing I have seen from Tech under Gailey. (Clemmons last year is 2nd)
My problem about yesterday is we scrapped the offense that got the tie, and all the momentum.
The TD throw to Bilbo killed us. Somebody thought he was Tom Brady after that.

I Agree we did a great job to get back in it, but in the end we lost the game. If we could have held them off the board in the 1st quarter we wouldn't have, but unfortunately they got up on us big early and we didn't have the offensive firepower to score more than they did in the first 20 minutes the rest of the game. 17 points simply isn't enough in 60 minutes of football with a weapon like Calvin Johnson who should rake in a minimum of 1 TD per game. We could score more than 17 throwing deep to Calvin on every play, but of course we would lose every game that way.

"Somebody" thought he was Tom Brady? Ball did, or someone else?

I don't know. I have an opinion, but don't know.

The problem was...after we tied it at 17....the defense could not make some emotional stands to keep the momentum going. That was the most unexpected thing that happened in the game to me.
