If someone were to start a post about what is the mainest, 1st, most important thing that they would like to see happen in our football team this coming year, it would be:
1-..............

For me, yes, I want to De-Ball the dogs.
BUT, first off, I'd be very very happy to see a marked and noticeable improvement in the team by the end of the season.
CCG had a lot of good things going for him, and I believe he had the ability to be a very good coach. But for whatever reason, it just never seemed to all gel together for him or us. I could never see much improvement from the 1st game of the season thru to the last. Sooooooo......

1st & Formost for me:
Ongoing Improvement will by my first choice.
What's yours?

I think what you're looking for, steady progress, is a given. If not, we made a HUGE mistake.

My #1 "Christmas wish" would be a true/dependable leader and playmaker at the QB position. Haven't had that since Goose.

Imagine this situation:

We are down by four.
There is 2:47 left on the clock.
The other team punts it into our coffin corner.

In this situation, I look forward to the following:

■ Thinking that we actually have more than a snowball's chance of winning the game.

■ Not fumbling for my keys trying to remember where I parked.

■ Not seeing a single person head for the exit.

■ Wondering if I have enough adult beverage to last throughout the post-game celebration that I can almost already taste.

■ Thinking about how the AJC is going to run out of ways to give us a backhanded compliment in the headline of the story since we do this all the time now.

■ Enjoy thinking about how the mutts are getting nervouser and nervouser every Saturday as the showdown looms ever closer and its apparent that we have a NEW FREAKIN' SHERRIFF.

THAT is what I am looking forward to.

BoR, you leave my mountain buddy alone. Everyone know we have a difernt vocabulary up in the moundtins.

you done set me straight RM. I'm the mostest meaner font on Stingtalk.

I stopped reading when I got this far. Are you really that illiterate? :pat:
Thought that would get a rise out of you and it worked to.
I do see that it is miss-speled so I'll change my copy to
"MAINIEST"
BTW, what does illiterate mean?
were you cuss'n me?
Thanks JD, I do appreciate folk that understand.
Steve

Much like Romejacket wanting to see improvement, I would like to see:
1. A team that peaks in November. We seemed to run out of gas at the end of the year too often.
2. Players that get bigger, stronger, and faster in the offseason. I like to see progression from the redshirt, to reserve, to contributor, to starter, to leader and all-conference fifth year senior.
3. The team to be less uptight and have fun on the field.
