2 missed FGs, 3 muffed punts, 30% passing

Seriously, those special teams are killing us, not only do we have to worry about short kicks, poor coverage and missed field goals but now muffed punts. Arnt is the only bright spot , thanks for that last punt by the way.

Great game, great win.

We can't leave points on the table and we have got to take care of the ball Saturday night against the leghumpers].

I think the lights had a lot to do with the punt muffs. Pretty evident that they weren't up to snuff. I've never seen shadows like that on a college field. The seem to have been too low.

ncjacket, I agree, that probably had something to do with it... I won't put the whole blame on it, but the lighting was wierd. The lights used were brought in by ESPN as the big lights in the orange bowl haven't been fixed since wilma did a number on them back in October. They were at the bottom of the upper deck, so it was definitely different than normal.

I wonder if the city will fix it, or if they'll just depend on the networks to bring in lights when needed, wouldn't suprise me. The city has let a great venue go to absolute crap.

The lights could’ve been a factor, the orange bowl has four independent light posts attached to each side of the stadium (totaling 8 overall) but they were not working on Saturday (I guess they have not been fixed since Wilma) so the stadium had two portable lights setup outside each side (totaling 4 overall) and that’s the reason it was darker than usual. I did notice that the lights were about 12 feet shorter than the one the Orange bowl had attached to its structure. Still those punts should have been caught!!!
