Woo hoo!

Congrats to our Jackets.

#24 in the coaches poll - they must not have gotten the memo.

we also have 3 wins over top 25 teams. If we win saturday then we will have FOUR WINS OVER TOP 25 AND TWO OVER TOP TEN.

That may be the most ever for GT.

I know what you mean, but we need to finish the drill. We can celebrate on 11/27.

We went to Athens at 8-2 with them 7-3 in 2001, both ranked in the high teens...oh nevermind, that season never happened now.

That had to be 2000, 2001 was at Tech, and I think we finished 7-5 that year.

correct both ranked in 2000

We plat at GT in odd years and at Ugag in even years. The 2001 team was when the team quit on liar as he had cut a deal with the Domers.

In 01, I doubt either were ranked as we were 7-3 going into that game without a noteable win and I think Ugag was 7-3 also. they actually may have been ranked (and may have been 6-4 as it was richt's first year).

Great game last night Jackets, except for our ST coach who should be fired and left in Miami.

Yeah my mistake. It was 2000, then we played them at BDS in 2001 with us at 7-3 and Ugag at 6-3. We played FSU the week after that loss, since Sept. 11 postponed it earlier in the season. We also played that extra game against Syracuse that year which explains why we had played one more game than they had.

I'm not positive but I believe that both teams were ranked at the time.

I'm wanting to remember that in 2001 one of us was #21 and the other was #17.

No, the 2001 team was the team that quit, but they quit on Gailey resulting in 51-7. Those were, however, O'Leary's players and now they're gone and it hasn't been a problem since.

Pretty sure the dogs were ranked in the top 20 and we were not ranked in '01.

Re: correct both ranked in 2000

you guys are a year off. 2001 was at BDS@GF, tough game, we lost (thats the season we opened up with Syracuse as mentioned above), O'Leary's last game. The 2002 game was our hell.

2002 was the 51-7 game in the cesspool.

well, yes, of course....
seems as though I've been getting brainfarts a lot lately...

Re: Peck is correct?

Well if you sat through that 2002 game like I had to do, (my 'friend' who invited me to go with him stayed for almost all of the game)it felt like it took both the 2001 and 2002 seasons to end!

O'Leary's last game.

His last game was actually the following week in Tallahassee. Not a good finish for GOL.

Re: correct both ranked in 2000

thats right, forgot the game got moved due to Sept 11... that was one helluva first semester.
