Just taking a quick looking at the current depth chart posted Aug 18 we are seeing why this class was so well thought of. I counted 10 kids on the starting O and D. Add 5 more to the two deep to give us 15 kids on the two deep. We already new this team was young, but wow I had not really looked at how big an impact this class is having in just its second year on the flats. Let me rephrase" just starting its second year". The future looks bright I got to wear:cool:.

I did count Tyler Melton as the 06 class even though he counts for 07. I left out Barnes since he has been here forever but we have him just as long as the 06 class.

We need 3 more classes just like that one.

call me sometime when you got no class

BOR... I think we will see us come close to that in about two years. 09 should be a banner year but should could woulda.. I really do think we will be pretty good this year, but at seasons end we should be letting everyone know that next year is our year and everyone should better step aside.. Its kind of like were are back in 89 again. We may not start out as bad as 89 or finsih as strong as they did. You get the picture. Yes I know that is a strong statement, but it just feels good to be this excited again. 14-0 baby yeah.

I hope so but I think that is wishful thinking. Both of our lines will be depleted next year.

Correction - reloaded. We're bringing in some good OL recruits this year, and I'm sure we'll be looking at more for next year. If you read the thread on comments from option legends, there's a quote stating you don't have to have the best athletes in the country. They just have to be strong and block - the running will take care of itself. That said, CPJ is bringing in some good-great athletes in this year's class. I expect even better after we finish strong this year (and we will finish strong).

The cupboard was certainly not bare for CPJ - just not fully ripened. I'm looking forward to seeing the impact CPJ's classes will have.

D line will need to build some young depth this season. Yeah we lose 4 of our top 5 guys there. We have plenty of talented OL coming back. We lose only 2 guys here and yes one of those two is our best one. If we only lose 2 OL starters a year I would be more then happy. The depth while unproven it is talented.

Come to think of it that is really all we lose next season is Lineman. DL concerns me but Peters or Hall should do a good job next season. DT is the one spot that is the big one. I am going to go ahead and make another crazy prediction. Barnes will occupy one of the two DT spots next year.

DL maybe, but not OL. You lose some guys every year so there is a huge difference between replacing 2 starters and being depleted.

I don't think TJ Barnes on the DL next year is crazy at all... In fact, I think we won't have much choice but to play him on the line.

next year, the OL will lose starter Gardner. thats it.

We will have to replace MJ, DR, and VW.

TJ barnes and ben anderson will start at DT with Logan Walls and Jc Lanier getting minutes here and there. Id call that a pretty good DT pairing.

At DE, Morgan will be back and we will have Ebiguie (sp?), Hall, and Peters to battle it out for the second spot.

IMO, look for '10 for us to be at FULL STRENGTH. We will be NASTY that year. This is when the ball will start rolling with everything (top 20 ranking consistantly, great recruiting classes, and depth at all positions.)
