Anyone have any information/updates to share?
Saw a teaser of an introduction (don't have a membership) on jacketsonline.com about Logan Walls returning to UGA for another visit this past weekend & they tried to make it seem like he had a good time...Has UGA pulled even w/ GT in his mind?
Looking for any news....Everson, Claytor, Haynes, etc....
Anyone?????

Rivals just put an article on the front page that shows we made the final 3 for Mason Cloy, but Clemson is still the big leader. We are probably just ahead of VaTech.

He eliminated Virginia, Vandy, So Carlina, No Carolina, NCSt, Kentucky, Louisville, etc.

This is a slow time because the players have to come to us. Cloy even made reference to the Korn QB commit being impressive to him.

It will be helpful in recruiting to get either Threet or Nesbitt to commit soon and get the domino effect going. Another upside on Threet is he is a social dynamo and will help recruit according to those who have met him and seen him on/off the field...a natural leader. Nesbitt has a good name, but is more soft spoken with little to ever say. We need one to step up, and hopefully get both in the end. QB's are always the first positions to "lock in" and this year has been no different.

Dawson County? That'd be the closest Jacket to home for me since... well, RM I guess (grew up on the Dawson/Gilmer county line basically). Bet he gets a lot of crap wearing that hat around. Looks like he can hold his own though /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

We are SO close with Threet, Nesbitt, Donley, Dwyer, Jones, Walls, Everson, and White. Those are 8 big names...and we already have Gilbert, Jefferson, and Tarrant.

Recruiting is not a sprint though, it is a marathon.

RM...I have been getting crap all my life over here in Pickens County...probably the same up in Gilmer for you.

Just had my golf tournament at Lake Arrowhead and you guessed it. There's always one in the crowd. I had to politely excuse myself or I would have slapped him.

If we locked 5 to 6 of those 8 we'd be well on our way to a much brighter and consistent future.

It is amazing what we have done without the top ranked players, getting better talent can only help us hit that next level.

It really hits me every year when I watch the NFL draft or look at position rankings in Lindy's.

I love our kids though and would not trade them for anyone. They chose to be Jackets and there is nothing wrong with that!!

That's the best way I know to get a bulldog's attention, next to kicking his uh huh!!!!!

no offense panther, but I could care less what Rivals or Scout rate players.

I only use these sites for video, profiles, and interviews.

It is weird that Nesbitt only has 8 offers though.

Most people probably want him as a safety, but know he'll resist change. That may be why the number of offers are low

hiveredtech, you really think DWyer is a real possibility? He lists us, but doesnt seem to put out that vibe.

The rub seems to be this:

- he loves GT, the players, the staff, etc. His parents love the same things. He is extremely comfortable at GT, probably more than any other place.

vs.

- his grades and test are close, but he really takes academics seriously now, is very articulate, etc.
- he wants to major in sports medicine, which we do not have.
- there is family pressure to go to Auburn since he is closely related to Brent Fullwood, and went to Auburn many times as a kid.

hopefull the coaches are pushing the biology program as a more general sports med... half the time I think the names of our majors are one of the biggest deterants, probably not in this case since the kid has already been recruited, but when they're just starting to browse around...

well, our biology program is extremely tough, moreso than most pre-med programs.

I think most athletes think of sports medicine as more of a path towards physical therapy, strength & conditioning, nutrition, etc.

Logan Walls - are we losing ground with this recruit...introduction on gojackets.com says that some of the new offers have caused some questions for Logan about his thoughts about coming to GT for sure...Anyone out there have any thoughts/ideas....I now that 1/2 of it is just creating news but what are his real thoughts? 50% that he will go to GT or less?
