That depth chart makes a lot of sense except at WR and Rover. At WR, I expected Cone and/or RB Clyburn to be on the 2-deep along with Thomas, Earls, and Melton. I haven't heard much about Zack Fisher. Anybody got any insight on him? Did he show some good promise in spring?

At Rover, I hope we have more depth behind Morgan Burnett than Troy Garside. Troy definitely showed he can be a contributor out there, but it sure seems like we need another good athlete there along with Garside. That seems like a very good spot for Tony Clark to fight for time (hybrid safety and LB, sometimes playing back, sometimes up on the LOS). I didn't know Jasper was injured, but that makes sense now why I hadn't heard anything about him in spring. I think he has a chance to contribute at S, and may be that other guy at Rover I was talking about.

Also, just to nitpick a little more, I'd think that Andrew Smith would be the fourth A-Back behind J.Evans, R.Jones, and G.Smith (maybe ahead of Barrick).

wow, seems like Braman keeps working his way down the order.. what is up, i thought he was almost the starter at one point last year. is he still injured?

Braman has not played at all during the Spring. I always thought he needed to add a few LB's to handle the TE's a little better.

I thought Barrick was a TE in the previous scheme. Wouldn't he be better suited to be a B-Back? I though the A-backs were smaller/quicker guys than the B-Backs (who have to be more physical).

I think Barrick practiced at A-back, I just don't understand why.

And I thought we had seen the last of Jahi Word-Daniels!

Jahi played well last year...and is excellent against run support. This is a kid who came to GT under-sized...had to play right away because of need...so he has had to work his butt off in an accelerated strength training program to add bulk while being counted on to compete.

Additionally, many many times in Tenutas defense the CB is either left on an island without any help...or all you see is what you think is the CB getting beat when in fact safety help never arrived.

Jahi is a very good college CB.

Yowieowee is competing for the KO job with Blair? Has he improved? Or would Blair be the punter and Yowie be the KO?

you know its may when you want to sing the budweiser song before you read the last 1/4th of the preseason depth chart.

Yep, Barrick at A-Back is a bit of a mystery. If I'm not mistaken, I think he's there simply because that's where he wanted to try out. CPJ let's players try the position they want in the spring and then he may move them after that if he sees fit. Maybe Barrick can add a wrinkle at A-Back mostly as a blocker and pass catcher.
