I was wondering what the general opinion was on which position will we see the biggest IMPACT on FIRST.... Obviously the offensive style will be different....Several people seem to think the players/team will be more disciplined & more focused.
Will GT be able to recruit/land more talented RB w/ so many opportunities to run the ball....

What about PJ's New staff- where should we see the biggest improvement for next season??

Talk to me....what you think???

The entire offense will see a HUGE impact. Oustide of RBs, I haven't been impressed with any offensive unit. The WRs can't run routes or catch. The OL is suspect with pass blocking, 3rd & short run blocking, and gets lots of penalties. The QBs.... we know about this position.

I think WRs will see the biggest impact. QBs is too easy as we are changing to a style that fits our most talented QB.

Well..the biggest impact will be on the TE. :eek5:

I wonder if posters will still complain about not throwing to them! :laugher:

yes I am sure someone will be disappointed that the TE's won't be getting their touches...

There may not even be a designated TE on the roster.

Yeah. How did I miss the TEs.

BTW... We have Bray, Kelly, and Lil Cox on the roster. I know Kelly can run, how about the other FBs? PJ's system seems to be 1 big back and 2 smaller guys.

If we can spread defences out by showing that we have more than 2 offensive plays, I won't complain too much.

I bet there won't. We aren't recruiting any more and have no position coach for them, and Peek is transferring.

That leaves only three scholarship TE's I think, one of whom is Sellers who was a DE until this year.

I think they may all three be listed as DE's in the spring. We need the help for 2009 b/c we have only six scholly DL's that aren't rising seniors.

yea, I think the defensive secondary will see the biggest change/improvement

I don't see where they could be besides at B-Back. We also don't have any other big backs currently on the roster so we actually need them there. Navy had guys similar to Bray and Lil Cox playing the position.

2008 B-Back 3-deep seems most likely to be Dwyer, Kelly and Bray. Probably not playing true frosh or transfers because they won't have time to learn the offense. They apparently have to work really closely with the QB's on the option handoffs.

With Lil Cox and Richard Watson, and maybe one more recruit, that would be six B-Backs on the roster. That doesn't seem like too many.

Slotbacks. A-backs. They say "A's make plays". The position didn't exist before and will be by far the biggest change.

At Navy the top three slotbacks all averaged over 7 yards per carry over the last few seasons.

Whoever the starting slotbacks are in 08 likely wouldn't have been starters if CPJ wasn't hired. Correy Earls could have a really good chance at one starting SB spot. Maybe the top three going into the spring are Earls, Jones and Evans?

I would not be surprised to see a jumbo package on occasion. He has the athletes to do it at TECH.
