2009 ACC Championship, GT - Klem's Son, 9pm ACC Network

It was good to see a freight train of an offense. Too bad the defense was a train track.
 
Nesbitt. Wow. I remember a post that season on a UNC board where they referred to Nesbitt as a tank. Don't know why that made me proud or why I remember it so clearly 10 years later.
 
It has been a good night. UGA loss to LSU 2019 SEC Championship Game on CBS, UGA loss to Alabama 2012 SEC Championship Game on SEC Network, and Tech 2009 ACC Champions on ACC Network. What a time to be alive.
 
Who would've thought after that game that the trajectories of those 2 teams would be so vastly different.

It took a few years for the trajectories to change. Clemson was a mess a year or two later. That is when their boosters poured money into assistants and facilities. OTOH, we hired the invisible man for an AD. The rest is history.

We had more losses than wins a year later. Trajectories were different pretty much immediately after that.

Did you even take the time to look up Clemson’s 2010 record?

Edit:
We both went into the abyss. Clemson responded by pouring money into the program.
We made the misstep of hiring Groh, which looked like a good idea at the time.
