That'll give PJ 2 seasons under his belt running the option. He'll have a definite starting QB by then and Dwyer will be a senior. We'll have a lot of Junior/SR defensive talent on the field. Chances are we won't see Morgan Burnett as a senior, though.

Our schedule is pretty weak too.

What do you guys think? Is 2010 our year?

We should definitely be looking for AT LEAST as ACC title run that year with the way everything is shaping up. Depending on how well everything is clicking by then, maybe even more.

That's not what I would call a "weak" away schedule.

That said, I think that we will be making a serious run at an ACC title game in '10, hopefully '09,(well, hopefully '08...but you know)

Well, I know PJ set his sights high. When he was at the initial press conference he said chose GT because it was a place that he could compete for NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS.

That has been my prediction since PJ was hired. It's my belief that with a senior QB with three years of option experience, solid lines on both sides, and a healthy set of backs, we should have a shot at something special.

I'm not sure if I would throw title implications into that prediction. My "official" stance was that we would win the ACC and make a BCS bowl. I think we finish that season with one loss.

I'll move it up to 2009... Based on we don't lose many players next year and our qb will ,whomever it is, have been in the system for his second year.

While we should be better by 2010 (and 2009 for that matter), there is no telling what the other teams will do in that same time span. Heck, there is no telling how we will do in 2008. I am "cautiously optimistic" about our chances once our offense gels, but time will tell. I am not going to crown us as champs just yet...
