Final results of the market are tallied below. Previous weeks can be searched using "Market Transaction Thread". If you don't know what this is, check out the rules thread here.

The Final Price for Butthurt is $33. This comes from the Week 13 closing price of $130 adjusted downward by 25% due to the win and a 20% downward Butthurt adjustment made due to GT beating the point spread. The Butthurt bank increased to 30% for the three consecutive wins, and that was also applied, producing a total adjustment of 75%.

Given the glee pouring over in the Football forum, I think this is an accurate measure of the fan base's butthurt.

And now, for the results. There were a total of 8 active traders this season. The results are tallied for these traders in the spreadsheet shown at the bottom of this post. Based on the season's results, we only had two traders with a positive change in portfolio value. And now, without further ado, the Champion and runner up in this year's contest are:

Champion: @G776T (+11%)
Runner-Up: @ThisIsAtlanta (+1%)

Complete results below. I win the award for worst portfolio performance.

And, here's a price chart of butthurt through the season.

I had a theory that if you had the maximum opening balance that the best strategy would be to NEVER make any trades.

Was I correct?

Wtf did optionqb do to owe money to the butthurt bank? How's that even possible?

No, but you would have placed ahead of coit.

The score was based on percent change in your portfolio.

I gave him a few shares to start since he didn't participate in the polls.

That is against the Butthurt Exchange Commission rules and a felony. You two are going to jail.

Ah -- I had imagined it would be based on the remaining total of funds.

OK, I'll go back to sleep now ... :koolwall:

I think that a problem with this contest was that the commodity had no "real" value to make trading worthwhile.

Next year you need to set up an agreement with BeeStorm that in order to post bitching about a GT loss/play-call,/defensive scheme/offensive scheme/coaching change that you have to have some butthurt. Each category would have a minimum quantity and the butthurt would be spent on bitching.

i.e. No butthurt = no bitching

Think about it:

You gotta respond to that CPJ-loving asshole who is wearing gold-colored glasses & you are out of butthurt - time to buy some on the market.

Pissed about only beating the cupcake by 3 touchdowns because the D played like shit and you feel that the season will suck because the better competition will score at will? Buy up the butthurt on the cheap after the W and hold it so you can bitch if GT loses later in the season.

Six games in the O is making everyone look like 3rd quarter M-State and the D is the Black Watch reincarnate? Better sell that butthurt fast.

A bad season would make butthurt more valuable than Unobtanium and 15-0 MNC would make it nearly worthless. ('Nearly worthless' because there would still be a game GT didn't win good enough and CPJ/CTR haters are gonna hate.)

Yes the classic pay to bigcry scheme. It is a form of government in some third world countries. ClydeBrick finally figured out a way to monetize butthurt.

The only problem with that idea is that people like @Diseqc would welsh on their payments.
