2019 feels like it could be a special year. Two experienced B backs, an older hopefully more healthy o line, and what looks like an overall improvement in quarterback play. Maybe add an improved defense into a the mix.

For those of you ready to get rid of Johnson: you let the next one play out? Or do pull the trigger and get someone else.

Still too early to tell. Can't complain about Friday though.

In terms of CPJ, you gotta see how 2018 plays out. If the current turnaround continues and we win 8 games, you have to bring him back (sans extension). If we crater to 4 wins or something though, who knows. Kinda depends on how we look in the losses.

To the 2019 outlook itself:

Not sure about the OL claim? 2 SRs and who knows - Braun may declare early.
A QB who wasn't the starter in 2018 replacing TQM. Could be an upgrade? Don't really know what TO can do for a full game, complete with having to make passes, etc. Does LJ supplant him? What about JG? Do you bench him for another year and hope he doesn't transfer? WR corps should be good. We are always strong at AB so that's a non-issue.

On D, looks like we're losing a lot of our DL. But overall, a full year of new scheme under everyone else's belt will be interesting to see how they do.

What appears to be a reliable PK will be back plus an All-America candidate at Punter.

Schedule looks soft, with only road trips to Clemson and Miami being truly difficult along with mutts. I see 3 losses, tops, on this schedule.

A reliable Place Kicker? After a sample size of 1? Lol

I'm feeling a LOT better about the FGs now. May mean little but there is hope.

I'm holding out hope that 2018 may still amount to something and this thread gets buried until sometime in January.

Yeah, Tech never has any trouble @UVA.

I am also holding out hope that in 2018 we may make a bowl.... and maybe even win the bowl for 7 or 8 wins.... Not sure how I feel if we only win 4 or 5 games... and we are calling 2019 a special season... would that special season mean winning 6 or 7 games and getting to a bowl??

At the end of 2014 I thought 2015 was going to be a really special season.

I'm gonna start thinking about 2019 when there's nothing more to be thought about 2018. Gonna milk this season for all it's worth.

I don’t know, but it seems the year after changing coaches, hasn’t always been our forte.
