2020 ACC football schedule model

What I like about the 10-game conference schedule is it's impossible for schools like Duke to play a joke schedule. Yes, they dodge Clemson, but they still have VT, Notre Dame, FSU, us, etc.

Clemson does not play Duke, UNC, NCSt.

Are they not allowed to travel to Raleigh-Durham or something?

So the only 3 teams that avoid Clemson this year are UNC, Duke, and NC State. Seems legit... Nice work Swofford, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Oops, you beat me to it. But Louisville also doesn't play them.

Since they are calling it a "model", it's hard to tell if there is an actual commitment to play yet, but sounds encouraging.

the ACC Board of Directors announced that if public health guidance allows...

BC and Syracuse away?

Guess that whole trying to cut down on air travel went out the window.

Am I reading this right? We are at F$U? That's new, right?

6 Atlantic teams. Love love love that.

We play the worst 4 teams in the conference (Duke, BC, NCSU, Cuse). Don’t hate that.

Clemson, ND, FSU. Like that a lot.

Would have liked to keep VT for personal reasons, but not a huge deal.

Overall our schedule got a lot easier relative to the other Coastal teams who can’t hide behind joke schedules in this model.

Honestly I can see 6-4 being a reasonable expectation/goal with this schedule. Especially with some likely chaos in the more talented rosters (elite players sitting out). We’ll have better talent on the field than 6 of our opponents.
