Parada with another screaming RBI single between the pitcher, SS, and third basemen, hit so hard there was a close play at first that had to be reviewed and overturned. Traveled at least 2000cm.

little 2-out rally makes it 3-1 good guys B3 now.

Tie game. Tech SP chased after 3 barreled up balls (2HR and a double) and a walk. 1st and 2nd; 2 outs B3 thanks to an idiotic sneaky bunt attempt and a K.

the guy from Forgetting Sarah Marshall and the Muppets coming in to pitch. J. Siegel.

It didn’t go well for the youngster but GT doing all it can to one up the Sapphire Lucifers.

bases loaded no outs for the Jackets trailing 6-3 T4. Chased the Duke starter and Duke brought in their stud reliever.

Uh Oh. Bases Loaded nobody out for Duke.

jackets only picked up 1 to make it 6-4 in that situation last half of the inning.

8-4 Azure Demons after a GIDP and RBI single.

Moved up to 6 in the D1Baseball poll.
There was plenty of upheaval outside the top five, thanks to a number of ranked teams losing series. Georgia Tech jumped five spots to No. 6 after winning its fourth ACC series in five tries, taking two of three at Duke. The Yellow Jackets leapfrogged Louisville, which remained No. 7 after splitting two games at then-No. 14 Notre Dame. The Jackets own a head-to-head series win over the Cardinals.
• Georgia Tech had yet another solid weekend with a road series win over Duke. The Yellow Jackets lost the series finale, but were fantastic on the mound in the first two games — wins of 5-2 and 3-0. Brant Hurter struck out seven and allowed two runs in seven innings, while Andy Archer struck out nine and allowed six hits in eight shutout innings in the second game.

Draft update on our top recruit for next year, Harry Ford:
MLB.com
Prospect Rankings 2021 (Overall)
19. Harry Ford, C, North Cobb (GA), 18, 5'10"/200 lbs

The state of Georgia has produced four first-round catchers in the last seven Drafts -- Max Pentecost, Tyler Stephenson, Anthony Seigler, Joey Bart -- and Ford has better all-around tools than any of them. The track record of high school catchers taken in the first round scares clubs, but Ford has the bat and athleticism to profile well at several other positions as well. One scout likened him to Craig Biggio for his ability to theoretically play catcher, second base or center field.

Ford features some of the best bat speed in the high school class and has a track record of making loud contact against quality pitching. He's also strong and has good leverage in his right-handed swing, so he has all of the ingredients to have average or better power. He's very fast for a catcher, clocking a 6.42-second time in the 60-yard dash at the East Coast Pro showcase.

There's no doubt that Ford can remain behind the plate, though he still needs to polish up his footwork to get the most out of his solid arm strength. Quick and agile, the Georgia Tech recruit has stood out as a receiver while handling premium stuff on the showcase circuit. Though he doesn't have a lot of experience at other positions, he has the athleticism, quickness and arm to play second base, third base or anywhere in the outfield.
Scouting Grades (20-80 grading scale)
Hit: 50
Run: 60
Field: 55
Power: 50
Arm: 55
Overall: 50
Doesn't seem like we're going to get the chance to see Harry on campus. That's #19 including college guys. Guys definitely slide in baseball more than other sports, but they can also slide and still go if the team that picks them pays them right and the kid wants to be in that system. North Cobb (my high school) is struggling (8-11), but not sure how Harry is doing. Would really be a logjam at catcher if we could get him here, but that's obviously a problem that we'd love to have.

We don't have anybody else (current player or recruit) in the top 100.

A nice article on Harry's tools (with videos) and draft prospectus:

6-0 GT lead after 7 innings ends in 6-5 butt-clencher. Another great start by Hurter. But It feels like the 8th and 9th innings for the pen right now are either 1-2-3 innings or the opponent scores 4 runs without much middle ground in between. Somehow 11-5 though. Keep mashing the ball.

Teams feed off of the knowledge that they can come back. Until we shut teams down consistently we will get good AB’s and solid hits from our opponents. They’re not nervous in late game situations.

Hall should have let Hurter pitch the 8th. He was throwing a shutout with seven strikeouts and no walks. Tech has the worst bullpen in the league. Reliever immediately walked the bases loaded, and all eventually scored.

That's probably why Vandy ran him off...
He's been a stud both offensively and defensively for us thus far this season. I think he's had three plays on the SC top 10 already. I'm sure he wouldn't make excuses, but cold games suck.
