I saw a post about OOC games and was saving this talk for after the season. Someone said we could pad the the schedule. Looks like Notre dame, dwags, Kennesaw state and NIU. So not as padded as we would like. Barring some kind of weirdness with Notre dame deciding to stay we have our normal costal foes.

Florida state was I guess supposed to be our rotational crossover next year but again I’m not sure how things change.

My best guess is that the schedule past this year will remain the same. (Notre Dame long-term joining notwithstanding)

It stinks, because I had been looking forward to that trip to Syracuse for a long time.

So... if that’s the case our power five schedule would be:

Florida state
Athens correctional
Clemson
Notre dame
uNC
Va tech
Miami
:chad:
duke
Pitt
Virginia

That’s a tough schedule

It really is a tough schedule. MBob did us no favors over the past few years with our OOC scheduling as well. All the AAC games should have never been scheduled. With Clemson and UGA on our schedule every year, we should be shooting for very easy OOC teams most of the time, with some fun exceptions thrown in there from time-to-time.

I never have a problem with tough OOC as long as they are remotely interesting. Playing NIU on a Thursday night 15 years ago would have probably been fun. Now, on a Saturday, probably at noon, does not really move the needle for me.

With that said, if Collins is going to take us within sight of the promised land, he won't be leading us through the wilderness, we'll be running a gauntlet. At least relative to how bad we've been.

Pick one:
Notre Dame
Athens correctional
Clemson

Pick two:
Florida State
uNC
Va tech
Miami

Pick three:
:chad:
duke
Pitt
Virginia

..and I'll probably be happy with those results regardless of which ones you chose.

Hell yeah I’d be happy. Let it be so.

At least with that schedule and only the third year into the biggest rebuild in college football history, we'll have our excuses ready.

Vegas will probably set the win total at 4.5. We will likely indeed go 4-8 or 5-7. Half the fan base will be calling for a firing with 10 or 11 wins in three seasons. The other half will be delirious that we are so improved and predicting three or four national championships for Collins.

Two wins that should be in the bag are NIU & Kenesaw State. Duke should be another .UVA, VT, Pitt & Boston College are all winnable games or should be.
We could win 6 of 7 of these games or maybe steal one from ND or Miami

Not sure if we are playing Boston’s college or who the other crossover is.

Edit: nvm I guess it is Boston college.
