If you think about it this is the last real season of college football. The last PAC championship trophy, the last time Oklahoma State will line up against Oklahoma for a conference game. The last time Oregon will play Oregon state. It could be the last ACC schedule for all we know it.

I’ve weighed the thought myself that my fandom my die soon. And it will if I am to have any sanity. However I’m also trying to convince myself to try to really enjoy this season. Tailgate, go to games and watch football all day like I used to. It’s like spending time with a dying friend. Even though you will miss them and nothing will be the same as before, you want to really take time with your last moments with them. After this is all done I’ll try to move on and find something else to do if our team is left out.

I hope you all really take time to enjoy Georgia Tech football this year. Remember that a whole hell of a lot of those kids really care. So does Brent Key, Marco Coleman and Weinke. And others. I know Zach Pyron loves this öööö. I applaud them and will be there in Bobby Dodd, as I have so many times. Once more into the breach dear friends?

Oh I’m def big cryin
Eventually, you will get to the point where you no longer need to come up with a reason to drink. You just drink just because no reasons.

But, there was a time - pretty sure @coit is the only one who remembers back when 13 schools bolted from the Southern Conference to form some new conference - I forget the name - oh, wait.. the SEC. Maybe you hoid of 'em.

We've been down this road before - it'll be fine. Have another drink and ride it out.

impressive former members list:

What we need is to form a new conference where we take all the P5 conference rejects and start our own Canadian style football league where the teams are essentially feeders to the CFL

Md was a southern state back then. It still acted like it when I moved there in 81. Not now. It lives off the federal government and only the federal government.
