That’s just embarrassing.
I disagree. CPJ didn't just work at GaTech. He had many achievements in college football before he even coached in D1, like at GaSouthern winning multiple championships
It makes sense that his overall achievements in the sport (which includes numerous national championships at GaSouthern, record-setting offenses at Hawaii, and a restoration of achievement at the Naval Academy), many of which outshine his achievements at Tech.
I was a huge CPJ fan, and thought he delivered a strategic advantage over rival programs based on his tactical approach to not only scheme but also recruiting. But he never won a Natl Championship here, or challenge even for one.
The chip on the shoulders of fans about everything always being some incompetence or evil conspiracy is dumb.
CPJ did some great things in college football over his entire career. He was recognized for that by the Cfhof. That's great
He also had some good success at Tech, including some ACC championships but he didn't go Boss Ross or anything. Now he is recognized for those achievements by Tech
Why turn it into something negative?
It makes total sense
