Sky is the limit. For as much as some of us (myself included) have questioned the lapses of the offense at times, the reality is GT only loses the following (non transfer out) players from the 2-deep:

RB - Dontae Smith
WR - Chase Lane
OL - Connor Scaglione
TE - Brett Seither
TE - Dylan Leonard
TE - Luke Benson

If GT can limit the transfer out, and take in a couple impact transfers at WR and especially at TE and RB, the sky is the limit for this O. Could they use a few veteran OL’s as well? Yes. But last night was the BEST this OL has looked since 2016.

The sky is the limit under Faulkner and King at QB. I mean, who would have thought in a transition year with some offensive lapses, GT would be #42 nationally and #5 in the ACC in PPG at 31.8 ppg? There is STILL time to improve to the current standing.

If the OL can continue to improve, 2024 could be a special year on O.

That's a big if.

You sure that is all correct? Seither is listed as a redshirt junior

Need to bolster the lines. We will be fine if our skill players stay.

My message to them: don't be a dumbass and go to what appears to be greener pastures. GT is on the rise. Be a part of it.

Brown, McCollum, Sims, Griffin. All skill position players who left solid situations at Tech to tank their draft stock somewhere else recently. Gibbs is basically the only one who improved his situation, but I’m still not sure he improved his draft stock all that much.

WR especially seems like a risky position at which to transfer when you’re already in a situation that’s productive for you on the field. Brown breaking Calvin records as a frosh with 7 TDs and now has 1 total TD in four years since transferring.

Yeah, for skill position players or starters in general, leaving GT for a more talented roster is likely a stupid decision. I expect McCollum would have been our go to WR this year (Malik getting a lot fewer targets)

I guess money now changes the equation but you better be sure it is worth it.

Even someone like Ivey: he plays well at Ole Miss and I think starts but isn’t their best DL. At Tech, he would have been a star and had a good chance to make All-ACC.

A little more worried about the 2024 defense
Defense is a lost cause until proven otherwise. We constantly hear about 'potential' which is great for fans, but potential that doesn't pan out looks like the current state of our defense.

Not really true.

McCollum has the same numbers as Rutherford, in 1 less game. Basically tracking around the same stats as he did here. He’ll get more looks with Tez Walker out again.

Jamious Griffin didn’t have any draft stock. And he did more in his first year away from GT, than he did in his 3 years here. Leaving Oregon St was his bad decision.

Sims sucked and would have gotten beaten out here anyway. He needed to leave.

Brown - yea transferring really didn’t work out for him. No argument there.

Here are all the Senior listed on the GT roster. Sylvain may be able to take a redshirt if it wants.

We played Ole Miss and Lane Kiffin made a list of which WR's we have he will go after.
