2024 Stingtalk CFP Bracket Pick'em Contest

For the inaugural 12-team playoff, I thought it would be fun to do a pick'em contest for Stingtalk. It seems like ESPN is the only service to offer brackets for the CFP, and their system exposes usernames to the group so that would be unacceptable for some of us.

Therefore, I've cobbled together a Google Form to capture picks for each of the 11 games. Goog doesn't support conditional branching, so I've had to carry forward every option for every game, but every pick is in a dropdown and results are captured in a spreadsheet so I'll be able to embed that here.

Points will be awarded similar to how the basketball pick'em works: 1 point for first round, 2 points for second round, 4 points for semifinal games and 8 points for picking the champion correctly. There will also be a total points pick for tiebreakers.

Entries are time stamped, and will be closed after December 19th so I can compile entries on the 20th.

i will fill one of these out this am. thx!

FYI "Pool Host" has playofff brackets. just filled out one for a friends pool he put together. he did all the regular bowls and then the bracket as well.
 
was surprised at how hard these choices were, and who I have winning it all

I have no confidence my winner (Texas) won't lose in the first round

Submit another one and I’ll delete the older one when I compile them.
 
You guys really don't know who you're messing with.

I'm in negotiations with the officials for each game to instruct them on what to look for in various situations.

They provided me with their SEC pricing sheet so I could just order ala carte for whatever I thought would be necessary.
 
I will send picks to anyone that wants to see theirs. Will be later this afternoon.

Feel free to resubmit your picks if you want to make changes. Only your most recent submittal will be counted.

The total points entry is for the final game only, not the entire playoff. I don’t think anyone misinterpreted that but if I see any big numbers I will follow up.

I'm absolutely certain that I picked a perfect bracket. I just don't know what it is.

I know I have Oregon beating Notre Fame in the finals.
