You always take a 4* QB if you can get one.
I'd gueaa the Bergeron recruitment is unrelated to Philo. Philo will be a redshirt sophomore who is a known quantity. Bergeron is a HS kid whose college performance is an unknown. You'd replace Philo with a portal player, not gamble on a freshman... Unless you imagine Graham Knowles as the #1.
That said, Philo could still portal because of Faulkner or whatever reasons.
