2026 Season Countdown Hype

I FINALLY watched this entire movie tonight, "The High And The Mighty", in which this classic scene appears towards the end, when the John Wayne character whistles "Ramblin Reck'. I was a 10 year-old kid when the movie came out in 1954 but for some reason had never seen it, although I have seen this particular scene many times. Besides being great movie, this one scene really fires me up for Thursday night. It sure would be great to get back to the kind of national recognition we had in the 50's and earlier.

I always liked this opening and agree that it should be updated, tweaked a bit (use the fight song for the music) and brought back.
 
Felton was getting some run at safety at the end of last year and he's third string now?
Glad to see Shymeik creep up the depth chart. He's stuck it out through a handful of DC changes.
Lots of folks were fired up last year to get Manley and Hoffler in the portal. And they can't sniff the top two on the depth chart right now. Don't know what that says - did we bring in better guys or did they just not live up to expectations? Or both?
 
I predict many first-game penalties looking at that depth chart. We have too much going on. 14 offensive starters but it's an 11-person game. Tons of OR guys. It just feels too complex/unfocused. First-time college OC, first-start college QB, new DC. Hope I'm wrong.

What it screams of is: "I'm forced to release a depth chart but I'm not going to telegraph to the opponents the actual starters. At the same time, I'll emphasize the 'multiple nature' of our offense and it's a way to reward the players by being named a starter. Pretty sure Godsey can count to 11.
