The Mover picked up his moniker for his performance against William Perry. I remember the day as if yesterday a glorious 28-21 W against Clemson.

Just another unimportant fact I suppose.

Nowadays he may be know as The Mover, but unlike his playing days he is as BIG as a refridgerator!!:laugher::laugher:

Another Jeff Davis?

I remember going nuts listening to that game at West GA College. IIRC, Tech was up 21-0 --Clemson came all the way back and tied it --then GT put the last points of the day up on the board to win it, 28-21.

That is correct sir. Pinned Clemson deep with a punt mid way through the 4th quarter, defense held on 3 downs, we got the ball back, had a short field and put it in to win 28-21. That was as loud as I ever heard HGF@BDS until the following year when we beat the team over from the east when Gary Lee returned a kick off for a TD.

Toward the end Lavette made a run of only 7 to 10 yards. It was one of the greatest runs I ever saw him make. It was Lavette, right?

I say that because I think Easley made a huge play as well, but pretty sure it was Robert who kept the scoring drive going.

IIRC.
