Poll to gauge the change in confidence as the season goes along.

WF: 3-0 / ESPN FPI 1.3 (-4.7 YTD)
GT: 1-2 / ESPN FPI 1.0 (+1.6 YTD)

GT ESPN FPI Win Probability: 42.2% (+17.9%)

Wake is 3-0 ... against Elon, Vandy, and ODU.

Wake has several injuries, and that showed against ODU, where they really struggled to pull off that win:

Wake's SOS is 109. Ours is 32. Yes, we lost to Ole Piss and Louisville, but anyone who saw those games knows that they were fairly close ones.

This game is setting up nicely for our first FBS win. Saying that, if we can't find a way to win, then I will lose any hope of a 5+ win season (which weren't that high of hopes in the first place).

This is pretty much a must win if we’re going to win 5-6 games. It’s going to be tough to snag one from Clem, Miami, UNC, or UGA, so that leaves very little room for error.

Watched replay of WF-ODU. Wake's defense only gave up 10 pts and gave the offense a short field in 4th qtr for go ahead score. Griffis threw for 3 TDs in 2nd half, but also gave up a fumble and threw an INT that ODU returned for defensive TDs. He threw the pick 6 right at the ODU defender as he was about to take a hit. Also threw a pick 6 against Elon. Vandy returned a punt for a TD against them. Griffis wasn't escaping ODU's pass rush with his feet, not as mobile as last three QBs we've seen. Would like to see us get some pressure on Griffis, force some mistakes. Their first three opponents have all scored on defense or special teams against Wake. Hopefully some early tests for the D start to pay dividends this week.

2nd chance probability is 0.609, a slight decrease of 0.66% from the pre-season poll. This is out of sync with the ESPN FPI probability, which increased from preseason 25% to 42%.

Wake's FPI has dropped from preseason while ours is still above preseason values. Perhaps the ST faithful are becoming a bit pessimistic about the season?
