K Joseph Bulovas from Mandeville, LA. Kid kicked a 70-yard FG (practice, I know).

(sorry, I'm a n00b here and not sure how to post the Twitter widget thing) EDIT: it worked! Miracles do happen.

So we go into Louisiana and get the number 2 ranked kicker in the Nation?

"And here we go..." is right!

And that 70-yarder would have been good from 80.

I'm glad we are prioritizing the K position nowadays. Way more important in the college game where not every team has a reliable one.

So 2 of our first 4 commits are kickers, and a 3d is the son of the DC. I like 'em all. Still, that's an odd assortment to start off with. Hmm.

Are we ditching football in lieu of soccer? Clearly we went 3-9 last year due to the quality of our specialists...where are the football players?

Butker has been worth his weight in precious metals for sailing kickoffs out of the end zone. We need a replacement who can do the same. I'd be worried if we had verbals from 50 kickers, but one or two seems reasonable.

If Butker had put one more kickoff in the end zone against Duke, we would have been at least 4-8 last year. Duke did nothing offensively the second half of that game except score on a KO and punt return IIRC. Bring on a good kicker. Four years ago, the opposition seemed to start every drive after a KO around the 35 or 40.

Very odd that we have 2 kicker commits, but looks like we got some good ones.
