5:30 kickoff @ Carolina / ESPN2

Despite the difference in records, UNC is basically us but with a cupcake schedule. Their best win is @Duke and their second best win is Pitt at home. Tossup for me on the road - maybe even give us the edge if Sims can go (after torching them last year).

Slowing their offense is the concern. I think we can score 30 or so on them. Most teams have.

Carolina should be fighting like hell to get this game off television. Anybody who shows up to this game in babby blue is the worst kind of degenerate masochistic filth. No poll will ever rank them again after what we will do to the cheating slit sores of Chapel Hill.

There is a minuscule chance I will drive down to watch this one in person. Haven't been to a game lately but I like this team.

We absolutely positively need to win the next two. No exceptions.

The 5:30 start might be a deal breaker for driving now that I think about it - a four-hour drive after the game.... I want to go but dangit.

Maybe we'll catch the goats off guard. Good possibility that this is the first 5:30 kickoff in Tech history.

Might've had a 5:30 start for one of those December bowl games at some point, but not sure.

The 2000 (not 2008) Peach Bowl loss vs. LSU was a 5:00 start.

This game is a rare miss for me - have to go to a wedding, and kinda figured the game would be meaningless. Hopefully we can beat Miami and then make me sad for skipping the game where we got bowl eligible.

We do have a knack for playing well in games I miss, like the Seattle Bowl, the Tulsa Humanitarian Bowl, the USC Sun Bowl, and that hurricane delayed Miami game where Chan beat them.

UNC has been fortunate this season, as they could easily be 5-4 instead of 8-1 if a few of the close games had not gone their way. I think the law of averages could haunt them down the stretch, and they could potentially lose all three of their remaining games. If they beat WF on Saturday, they might be looking ahead to the big NCS rivalry game and be ripe for upset when we play them.

if you don’t skip the wedding, you’re not a real tech fan

no excuses!
