538 College Football Playoff Predictions

What if we finish the season with bye weeks and cancelled game?
 
I like how it automatically adjusts our opponents chances... If we win out it reduces every opponent on our schedule's chances to almost zero...except UGA.

It's unlikely that a non-ACC Champion gets in. The champion is probably in, but a non-champion isn't (only exception I see is an undefeated Clemson losing to a 3 loss Miami in the ACCCG).

At the same time, an SEC Champion probably gets in. A uGA that loses to Tech then wins the SEC the next week probably makes it into the playoff.

In that scenario you have two teams to consider:
1 loss Bama whose only loss is to highly ranked Georgia
1 loss Georgia whose only loss is to less highly ranked Georgia Tech

Remember how they did Baylor and TCU? Exactly the same. The only way Georgia is in the playoff is if Bama has more than one loss or if the SEC gets 2 teams in.

In that scenario where you have 11-1 ACC champ Tech, 12-1 SEC runner up Bama, and 12-1 SEC champ UGA, Tech would most likely be ranked higher than both Bama and UGA in the week 14 poll.

Imagine the butthurt if the CFP was 11-1 GT, 13-0 Penn St, 13-0 Oklahoma, and 13-0 Washington State...delicious

Unfortunate but true. I think the committee not picking Ohio State might be the only thing that would wake up people sleeping in Congress.
 
538 predicted the elections right too so i like our chances.
