790 The Zone hits another low

Relax, Coach Paul Johnson will be on with Brandon and Wolvie every Tuesday. I'm excited.
 
I love Brandon and Wolive. Those guys are a great change of pace from the typical HWFO you get in sports talk.

Its a shame we no longer get anything to listen to for the drive home though. I just sent a few folks at 790 a pretty scathing email, but have no illusions that it will do any good.
 
It is the scumbag zones goal to make us lose focus.

Them hiring this egotistical failure is truly irrelevant to what we will build.

They are losers on a 1/2 watt & 1/4 wit station.

We will succeed with our faith in CPJ and those nadlickers are not going to prevent it.

Focus on 1 play - 1 game - 1 season at a time.

They can not stop what is going to happen.

Pollack is like a god to UGA fans, so you're email is probably sitting in a pile of about 1,000 positive emails they got after the announcment.
 
My biggest problem with him is that the other occasions in which he guest-hosted, he had no restraint whatsoever about dumping on Tech. He talked about us just like any other idiotic UGAg fan does.

I wonder if they'll allow him to continue doing it as a permanent host?

I agree with you. Im not so bothered that they chose an Ex-UGA player since clearly the UGA listeners are their #1 demographic, but you would think they would at least chose a person who has not been repeatedly on record for bashing Tech. At least pick someone with the professionalism and maturity maintain an ubiased view and not turn off the other 1/3rd of their listeners...

best thing about leaving ATL was leaving those tools from 790 in the rear view mirror.
 
It is true, with the exception of the Yellow Jackets, that 790 has nothing to do with what we would call a sports talk station.

I was thinking about leaving Atlanta as well because of 790 but then I found out that I had other channels to listen to and I could even get XM or Sirius if I wanted to (ended up with XM as a present from SWMBO... awesome!). So I was able to stay in Atlanta, which was nice, and didn't have to listen to 790 :laugher:

Just bustin on ya, law_bee, couldn't resist.
 
Once they completely revamped the format and put the annoying ass Stews on in the afternoon, I quit listening after mayhem. I now switch over to 680 but will try to come back over to hear Oliver every now and then.
