I have just read your post and am amazed a some of the things you have written about. I respect what you say, but do believe a great deal of it to be BS.

F$U not very good. Hmmmmm, I beleive that is one of the best defenses I have seen in a while. I believe it is as good as the defenses of the past when the won national titles.

Jones overrated. Now that is a real laugher. Apparently you didn't see the first 2 games nor do you remember him 2 years ago. I would say he is a first rounder at the next level.

And all you can do is complain about Gailey. I tell you what let's put the head set on you and let you get down there and make the decisions that have to be made in an instant and see what you would do. Leave Gailey alone and move on, we are getting tired of hearing about it from what I see others posters here say.

I believe there are great things to come and look anxiously to the future beginning on Saturday night when Clemson comes to town.

As Always....TO HELL WITH GEORGIA!!!!

I have said before and after this game that Florida State is good but not of the caliber of their 90's teams. They have lost 9 times since 2001. And looked very bad in doing so. Their defensive backs certainly are not upto past standards. Greg Jones was a non factor saturday night. Now lets give credit to Chan Gailey for the heart this team has shown so far. And I give him credit for allowing Jon Tenuta to do his thing with the defense. But the offense is his responsibilty and his alone. I don't know if you saw any of our discussions on this board since Feburary but all of the fans who back Chan Gailey said the same thing....Billy O'Brien is gone....and if the offense is poor then blaming Chan Gailey for it is justified....everyone who has continually defended Chan Gailey said this over and over....but obviously they don't recall doing it now even though we are very near the bottom of the NCAA stats in total offense.

stateline, I do recall saying I thought the offense would be better without O'Brien. Not that I think Billy is bad, but that he was not experienced enough to handle the QB situation he was handed last year. I also said the offense would be better if we got decent QB play. Ball is getting there. He's obviously made some mistakes and playing a freshman limits what we can do so far but he seems to be able to pick things up fairly quickly so I expect to see us adding to the package every week.

I think we'll have a pretty good offense by the later stages of the year, certainly better than last year's. If we don't you are right, Chan will have to explain it to us. I don't think the stats at this point mean much of anything.

Good post NC...

Stateline.. in my opinion, you are one of the better fonts on this board.. you usually bring well thought out opinions along with some pretty darn good information at times.. and although we dont always agree, I usually enjoy your posts..(and the fact that you ride a Harley doesnt hurt in my book)

But.. to say that Gailey isnt doing the job offensively, I agree with NC.. 3 games is not enough time to tell.. lets consider, a Freshman QB at the helm.. and guys that are are still trying to establish themselves at both RB and WR.. it could be said that Ball is a great talent, but it could also be said that he would not be performing as he has were it not for coaching ... and I will include Suggs' input here as well..

Also, and not to take anything away from Tenuta, but we dont know Gaileys input in terms of defense.. he is the head coach, and we do know that he does have input into the final game plan.. I will give Tenuta full credit for the defensive success.. but at least give Gailey credit for approving the work that Tenuta has done.. because that is how it works..

Give a QB time to grow up.. lets see if PJ will take it up another level, or maybe ACE will break thru.. take away a few passes that have been overthrown.. and a few that have been dropped, give me back a few fumbles, and take away at least 3 of the sacks we had at FSU and I think we have significant improvement.. give it time..
