I will preface this by saying I am really bored and DYING for football.

So I thought I would go back to the board to the time PJ was hired and see what peoples thougts were. Here are a few good ones:

Just after the hire:

Schulz from the AJC making fun of the coaching search (wonder what he thought of AU this year?):

Jeff Schultz: Nothing against Paul Johnson. But he is just Paul Johnson...nothing special about him.
Mr. Schultz, I believe there's a nice big sh*tburger with your name on it right over there (with a side helping of crow of course.)

That truly was a terrible write from Schultz. That was basically an amateur blog entry. All based on hearing 3rd person rumors about the situation. It's humorous and sad reading it a year later.

jacketup is still around. Thankfully he's keeping his pessimism to himself. Well, that and his money.

I cut my AT donation this year for the first time ever. We hire an unproven FB coach and we have to watch a BB team coached by a guy who is obviously in over his head. I've been an AT contributor longer than any of our SAs have been alive, so I really don't care what the ignorant clowns on this board have to say about it.

GT athletics died with Kim King, it's just that the death of the GTAA is a little slower.

RIP Georgia Tech. No man but jacketup knew what ye truly needed to live.

As for me, it's not how many we win or lose this first year, it's how we progress through the year. I want to see marked improvement in games 10 & 11 over games 1 and 2. (check) I want to see some young players' light come on and be candidates for rookie of the year. (check) I want some veterans to continue to mature and develop. (check) I want to see the offense mold over the course of the season into a well-oiled machine. (check)

I'm more than happy!
