A Priority for Spring?

That would put us on par with the mythical national champion Florida Gators, led by a Heisman trophy winner at QB. I'm not saying we should not aim high, but is that where expectations have gone already?

As far as offense is concerned, yes. Bear in mind that we put up almost as many points on ugay as they did (49 vs. 45). It's not that far of a stretch to believe that we can perform at or above their offensive capabilities next season. The real issue is the defense. Their defense was far and away better than ours last year. Do you honestly think we could have held OU to 14 points? So, I'm in the camp of people who are hoping for a defense to be just as fierce as our offense.

Just saying... To get the passing game into the 60's per last year's teams would mean we'd have to pass for 200 ypg. Don't see that. Then again, according to those rankings, you don't have to have it into the 60's, really, just close to the top 75 or so, which would be more like 150 ypg. and that's entirely doable.

A little different take on priorities imo. If we could have say our 2nd best FG kicker, KO kicker, and punter from the past 10 years, it would transform this team beyond any other change we could make with the exception of OL development.
