A question for those who watched on TV.

On Techs last possession of the game, it looked from the stands as though our receiver was being held prior to the pass from AJ being intercepted. What did the TV show? Did the announcers comment? The people arround me in the noise bleed section were all looking for a flag and were dumbfounded when none came.

nothing showed up on TV that I saw. Announcers did not comment on anything.

If anything TV made it look like AJ threw into quadruple coverage.

Commentators stated he should not have forced the ball on 1st down.

You bring up another good point. Why were we throwing there when we were having some success running and with plenty of time dispite the fact we had no timeouts which had been wasted by AJ earlier in the half.

I did not notice anything wrong with the Clemson coverage as far as holding or anything. Just looked like a bad decision on the part of AJ. We could have done a running play on the left side with 1st and 10 at the 29 and maybe gotten a good run to get closer and take a few shots at the EZ.

Bad play-calling and poor throw.

GO JACKETS!!

Well ... what I saw on the replay was that our receiver was coming accross the middle (Glover, I think?) and there was no holding per se, but Clemson's linebacker (Big # 41) stepped up in coverage and bumped him, throwing him just enough off-stride that he didn't make it to the ball. The bump was pretty subtle, and I doubt if any ref even saw it. It's just one of those breaks that doesn't go your way sometimes, but I would not blame the INT on Suggs. He was just throwing the ball where his receiver should have been.

The Clemson defender had more jersey in his hand than Donte Booker did in 1997.

check the film again and see if the DE wasn't offsides. he clearly jumped on the play and I thought we had a freebie...

I see the end jump and it looks like he is in the neutral zone, but in slow motion, it looks like the ball might be starting to be snapped when he lands in the neutral zone. If I was the official I probably wouldn't have called it, much less seen it.
