hehehe, about the black socks - I heard that Gailey had told the team they couldn't wear black socks against NCS, but that when the team went into the locker room to dress for the game, guess what kinda socks were in their lockers?

Frog turd brown is acceptable if that is what they think is what it takes for them to play as a team and win ball games.

Personally, I like Old Gold & White......period......end of conversation. But if the team needs a little rock to rub or whatever these teams need to be a unified team, go for it.

That was actually the Miami game. He told them "no" all week, and then the socks were waiting on them in their lockers when they arrived at the stadium...pretty cool gesture on many levels.

And don't think that that hasn't had an affect on recruiting as well.

Yes and yes. It's about building a program/family and having the SAs buy into it 100%

CPH did it in basketball and CCG is doing it in football.
