"First of all, I think Coach Gailey is getting real cool. He's getting real hip to the team. He's letting us wear black sox now. He knows that everybody likes that and everybody really likes Coach Gailey. Coach Gailey has really opened up. He's really showing his leadership in other ways besides just calling plays. He looks over every aspect of the game. He is a student of the game and loves the game of football. I think his leadership, besides just calling plays, has been key. I think he's opened up to his players more. We know that we can go talk to him and we feel like we're a unit. We all know that he's our leader and we all back him up a 100%. I think everyone understands his role and we don't question anything he says or does."

Now THAT's a very, very strong statement about a coach from a team leader.

hehehe, about the black socks - I heard that Gailey had told the team they couldn't wear black socks against NCS, but that when the team went into the locker room to dress for the game, guess what kinda socks were in their lockers?

Frog turd brown is acceptable if that is what they think is what it takes for them to play as a team and win ball games.

Personally, I like Old Gold & White......period......end of conversation. But if the team needs a little rock to rub or whatever these teams need to be a unified team, go for it.

That was actually the Miami game. He told them "no" all week, and then the socks were waiting on them in their lockers when they arrived at the stadium...pretty cool gesture on many levels.

Ah, I stand corrected. Yes, a very cool move. And it's that kind of thing that prompts TC to make the kind of statement that he did.

And don't think that that hasn't had an affect on recruiting as well.

Yes and yes. It's about building a program/family and having the SAs buy into it 100%

CPH did it in basketball and CCG is doing it in football.

It is good to hear that our players have outstanding relationships with CCG. Just makes us even more attractive to future recruits.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Tech has prolly played socks and unis since the good ole days.

What's the diff when we still have a couple of conference games, UGAg, and hopefully the ACC game left?
