Interesting note.

The last time we were 6-1 was 1999 when UVA ambushed us 45-38 with a backup QB in Charlottesville (after we were up 21-0 and 24-7, IIRC).

A win Saturday to go to 7-1 would be our best start since going 7-0-1 in 1990. It would also be just the third time in 42 years that we've started at least 7-1.
 
Apparently this is the best start by a GT head coach in his first year since 1904 (under Heisman).

Ironic that UVa is next up. Of course the notable difference is that this time they are in our house.

One thing I am noticing about this team as opposed to recent editions is that the more this team accomplishes the hungrier they get.
