I'm all for piling on the ACC, and I think this is one of the worst years in ACC football, but yeesh, have yall looked at the Big East?

Syracuse lost to Northwestern, the Duke of the North, and Akron, the Duke of WhereverthehellAkronis.

Mighty Rutgers got smoked by Fresno State.

Cincinnati is 1-1, with a win over Little Sisters of Omnidrectional U and a loss to Oklahoma, hard to pin them down yet.

WV is 1-1, with a win over the Villanova's girls basketball team and a complete tanking vs ECU - so much so that it makes VT's loss look like a win.

Pitt barely edged Buffalo. Not the Colorado Buffalos, but actual Buffalo, as if anyone realized they had a team. Which, by the way, isn't the Buffalos it turns out, it's the Bulls. How dumb is that, btw? I realize male buffalos are called 'bulls,' but what does that make their girls sports teams? The cows? Oh, and Pitt also lost to BOWLING GREEN.

Louisville's 1-1, with a win over Big Sisters of Omnidirectional U and a loss to Kentucky in which they only scored 2 points. That takes talent.

South Florida is 2-0, with a drubbing of Tennessee-Martin, which is worse than Omnidirectional U because they don't even have a freaking direction in their name, and an overtime win over Central Florida that went down to a half an inch ref spot during overtime.

UConn's top of the conference, with a victory over MIGHTY HOFSTRA and an exciting 12-9 overtime win over EVEN MIGHTIER TEMPLE.

And that's it, ladies and gents. South Florida and UConn. That's all that conference has to offer.

So why are people dumping on the ACC again, exactly?

So why are people dumping on the ACC again, exactly?

Because the Big East didn't have all those marquee games that they got embarrassed in on the first weekend of the season, where it's nothing but 24/7 college football coverage and they need something to talk about. There was an article on ESPN today talking about how South Florida is now the only real chance the Big East has at title contention, and that was within three inches of being gone. The thing is that now there's the NFL, so stuff like that isn't getting any airtime/front page ESPN coverage anymore.

And yeah...the Big East sucks. Remember a few years ago, people were talking about how bad the Big East was and maybe it should lose its bid? Then a couple teams(Louisville, WVU mainly) got their acts together and found a weak conference to dominate, putting them in the national title picture and giving the Big East a free pass for several years. Let's hope we can be one of the teams that does that in the ACC.

It's a better story when your conference has glamor, tradition, and multiple national championship winners.

I don't think ECU would win the ACC, but they'd definitely win the Big East.

ECU might win the ACC. Did you watch the VT game? Their QB is amazing. He might be the best QB in the country this year.

Hell, VT might still win the ACC after getting beaten by ECU.

Sniff Sniff, man it stinks in here. Did GTKyle post in here ?

What's the Big East's record in bowl games, specifically of the BCS variety? I think that's the only difference between the two conferences. Personally, I think the Big 10 may actually be every bit as awful as the ACC and the Big East, but that would never make the national coverage.

Well, I'd have to say that right now I haven't seen a team in either league who would be favored against them.

You and I are going to have to have a talk.
