ACC Blog - She's back

Well written, I am happy with what I see there.

I think everyone knows that we are better than VT, anyone who watched the game at least.

She is in love with Tech. Which is nice. I think we're a good team for the college football experts to bet on. Herbstreit has been doing it this year too.

She's not in love with Tech. Maybe Paul Johnson, but definitely not Tech.

She also said this yesterday, "Frankly, the only ACC teams that deserved to be ranked today are Virginia Tech and Wake Forest because they are the only teams with unblemished conference records in an average league."

Weird comment:
David (Athens, GA): Heather, why do you think GA Tech is not getting any respect in the polls?
Heather Dinich: (12:24 PM ET ) Because nobody has seen them play?

Some more ACC ripping, "And let's not forget what conference we're talking about here. Not exactly the SEC or Big 12. No, we're talking about the league where Duke is currently ahead of Miami in the standings."

This may or may not be interesting but we are the only ACC team to have played three conference games. No other team has played more than two.

In baseball, that translates into a ½ game lead. It may come in handy somehow. I hope.

She's right. Most of the folks voting (press and coaches) haven't seen us play - and if they're voting based on what they see in the standings and box scores, it's not all that impressive so far. Our best win is against BC which could turn out to be a good win but they're not top 25 caliber at this point. Miss St is 1-4 and Duke is 3-2 with their best win over Navy.

Clemson is what everybody is waiting for.

The football world is just waiting to see what we do with Clemson.

Or to Clemson as the case may be.

How bad do we have to beat them to start getting some attention?? 14+ pts ?

A win at the sons of Clem makes everyone take notice. If its a +1 slugfest or a +10 cruise clock burner it will be a quality road win and will get some attention, not that I care if we have it until bowl season anyways.

I think one point will do the trick. People (including me) just want to see if we can win that game against that team in that stadium. Maryland did it. We should be able to do it also. If we don't, we don't deserve to be ranked. If we beat G-W, Clemson and UVA, a win vs FSU will probably put us in the top 15.

Not that I care. I just want to win. I'll care about rankings the day we have just won our 12th game of the season in the ACC championship game and there's a chance in hell we might sneak into the big show. Which is NOT to say I expect that to happen.

I love this team and I love where the program is headed, but honestly, after the G-W game we will have six battles ahead of us and it will be damned amazing if we win more than three of them.

What is bad to think about to me is that if we had beaten VT we would probably be in the top 15 at this point. 3 points I feel are keeping us 15 to 16 spots down in the polls.

Nice of her to give us a compliment whenever she does, but I still think she's an idiot.
