I have seen several posts about Climpson. etc. but if I understand the rules correctly, wins and losses in YOUR division are the only ones that count except for tiebreakers. Posters keep talking about the Clemson game as more important than Miami, but I beg to differ. Unless I misread the rules.:fingersx:

That is not right - total conference record is what counts. Division record can come into play as a tiebreaker, however.

Still, Miami is more important because it is a win for us and a loss for them, plus head-to-head is the first tiebreaker.

If we win every ACC game except for Clemson, we're in. The team with the better total conf. record goes from each division, and then the first tiebreaker is the head-to-head result. So our win on VPI has pretty much given us a two game lead on them, and a win against Miami will do the same.

Definitely need to beat Miami. Prior to the start of the season I felt that @Clemson would be the toughest game on the schedule this year, and I still feel that way. Beat Clemson and things should shape up very nicely.

At the very least GT has to take 2 out of 3 against @Clemson, vs.Miami and @NC State, and one of those victories needs to be Miami.

Miami can win out and beat us to Jacksonville, even if we beat every other team. And Miami *is* capable of winning out.
