A prediction in regard to the ACC Football, that coach at West Virginia is going to be Bobby Bowden's replacement at FSU when Bowden retires. He worked for Tommy Bowden at Sanford and at Tulane, and Bobby knows him very well ( Bobby Bowden was the head coach at WV before taking the job at FSU.)
Rick Rodriques is one talented football coach with excellent recruiting skills. We have all believed that Mark Richt would be the heir apparent, with Chuck Amato as as possible second choice. With Richt and Rodriques going head to head at the Sugar Bowl this year, the decision as to whom would be pursued is obvious. Plus, contractual agreements with Rodriques at WV are not as sturdy as Richt's arrangements at UGA - easier negotiations, less buy out needed, better coach.
Not that this is going to happen, but it could - Bobby Bowden beats Joe Paterno in the Bowl Game tonight, and then he steps aside and turns the wheel over to Rodriques. Beating Penn State is no simple task and FSU may get their tomohawks handed to 'em, plus neither Bobby or Joe seem to be willing to give up the race for most games won - they both may end up dropping dead on the sideline before they quit coaching.
Don't ya' love it when "any team" takes UGA to the wire and wins. Pay back for all those years when Vince did it to us and everyother team they played!!! That was a great football game and WV has some awesome athletes on that team. Sorry Dawgies, it's your turn to feel the pain.
