I think I've got this figured out...

So Tech finishes at 5-3 with division wins over Miami & Duke; losses to UNC, UVA, & VT

Miami (4-3) has division wins over Duke, UVA, & VT; losses to GT & UNC; NC State is final game of the season for them.

UNC (3-3) has division wins over GT & Miami; losses to VT & UVA; still has Duke & NC State left.

VT (3-3) has division wins over GT & UNC; loss to Miami; still has Duke & UVA left.

UVA (3-3) has division wins over GT & UNC; losses to Duke & Miami; still has Clemson & VT left.

For Tech to go to the ACCCG:
The loser of the UVA @ VT game is out of it. The winner of that game needs to have lost their other game because the win will be their 3rd in the division & would eliminate Tech on the tiebreaker. UNC just needs to lose a game (to either Duke or NC State)

Someone check me. That look right?

You are correct. For this weekend, we need at least one loss between UVA and VT, otherwise we are eliminated.

Now were down to a manageable 1 in 20 or 1 in 30 shot at the title.

Well, Duke's not going to beat VT but Clemson/UVA could be a toss-up. That leaves VT/UVA at the end of the year IF Clemson doesn't beat UVA? No. That's not right. Duke or Clemson must win this weekend. Then go from there.

Clemson can take Virginny.

I agree that Clemson can take UVA, especially after their impressive performance last weekend. However, assuming VT wins this weekend, UVA would have to beat VT (at VT) and UNC has to lose to NCSt/Duke. Neither of the those is very likely, although UNC's two remaining games are at least rivalry games, hopefully improving the likelihood of them losing. Don't think VT will lose tho :/

Now wait a minute nobody said anything about UNC!

NCState gets their goat.

Personally, I'm hoping for VPI over UVA and Dook wins out. It won't happen! But it would be effing hilarious if it did.

The funny thing is that we're the only team in the division that could actually clinch it this weekend. Of course, that would involve Virginia Tech losing to Duke...

I thought us beating Miami eliminated them, but the Tampa paper says they still have a change if Miami beats NCST and UVA wins out. 5-3 for us , Miami and UVA, but the head-to-head tie breaker is indecisive, so the next step in divisional records which Miami would win.

Miami is not out, so long as there is a tie between more than the two of us because the tie breaker is h2h btn all tied teams. Miami's record against the other 3 would be 2-1Unfortuneately we are SOL because our record against the other 3 teams is 1-2.

This weekend's lines:
NC State @ UNC -11
Clemson @ UVA +2.5
Duke @ VT -17

The odds are definitely not in our favor, but Tech will clinch the division if all away teams win this weekend.

If not, and they go according to the lines above, Duke will have to beat UNC & UVA will have to beat VT on 11/29. I don't feel very good about that happening either...

UNC is not going to lose. Go ahead and turn off your televisions now. Enjoy your family at Thanksgiving.
